At this years Family Fit Fest, thousands of Roseville, Sacramento, and South Sacramento employees, physicians, and their family members took advantage of healthy bites, a huge variety of activities like basketball clinics with the Junior Sacramento Kings, exercise classes including Strength & Conditioning with Sacramento Kings legend Doug Christie, and a chance to vaccinate the entire family for the flu.
In addition to the games, food, and behind-the-scenes VIP arena tours, the event also included visits by Sacramento Kings players Justin Jackson and Harry Giles, who both posed for pictures with attendees.
North Valley and South Sacramento team members competed in the Chopped KP health cooking competition and a Free Throw competition. North Valley won the bragging rights in the cooking competition, and South Sac triumphed in the Free Throw competition.
“We came to the event last year and it was so fun we came back this year,” said Melissa Rae, a pharmacy technician at our Rancho Cordova medical offices who brought her husband and two sons. “We enjoyed the great food and got our flu shots together.”
